Happy Easter

I have a ton of pictures to post for Easter, it was such a fun week! The holidays keep getting better as Landyn gets older. He went on FOUR egg hunts this year... beating his record from last year. His first egg hunt was with his playgroup at a park.

He loves his little gal pals.

He can sometimes get a little too huggy.

But then it was time to play with the boys. He's not as innocent as he looks, notice the big stick he's holding! He found the biggest stick on the ground to play swords with. Such a typical boy! I mean, how do they learn these things?

They were also running around chasing each other. Then he fell in the mud ! His pants and shoes were covered in mud. Luckily, a friend had an extra pair of shorts for him to change into. I also had to take off his shoes bc they were filled with mud. Thanks goodness for Stride Rite washable shoes! They look as good as new.

His second egg hunt was with the Molnar's. They came over for a Pre-Easter Celebration. It was such a fun time!

We let the kids paint and hunt Easter Eggs. I did have a little scare before dying the eggs though. Landyn thought the dye tablets were candy and put one in his mouth! I was standing next to him and immediately pulled it out, but it totally freaked me out. I washed his mouth out like fifty times. He kept apologizing to me in such a sweet tone I couldn't help but to hug and kiss him.

This photo is from an "attempt" Egg Hunt in Coppell. People weren't lying when they said, arrive early! We literally live five minutes from the park. We left 20 min. before it started and the traffic was crazy!! We were walking up to the park as the hunt was taking place. So we missed it but they did end up handing out more eggs later. They also had the firetruck out there for the kids to climb in. And a big open field to run around on. It wore him out before nap so I was happy.

Easter Sunday.... Not only did Gran Gran give Landyn the cutest Easter basket FILLED with toys, she also made him his very OWN bunny cake. Is he spoiled or what? No wonder he loves going to their house. I guess it goes without saying, he was very excited! Look at that smile. The cake minus one piece has been sitting in our kitchen until today. I took the rest of it to his school to let the kiddos finish it off. Go, Gran Gran!

He also received more Easter goodies from Aunt Stef and Lexy. They gave him a ton of bubbles and bubble guns. Lexy took him outside later to try them out. When they came back inside he was covered in bubble solution and was eager to share a new word he learned. He was cracking up laughing and said, "Mommy, Lexy blew the bubbles and it looks like a BOOTY, hehe, a BOOTY, MOMMY!" Then Lexy, very nonchalantly said, " Oh yeah, I taught him a new word." LOL, what do ya do? At home we prefer the word bottom. :)

Here is PaPa and Landyn on their way to the Easter Egg hunt at the Country Club. Landyn insisted on riding in the golf cart. It's one of his favorite things to do with PaPa.

Gran Gran and Landyn waiting for the hunt to start. This was his last egg hunt of the day. He put about a dozen eggs in his basket then handed me the basket to hold. Poor child was worn out.

This was from his morning hunt at Church. He was eager to grab as many eggs as possible this time. After all the hard work from hunting candy filled eggs... I haven't given him any. I'm such a mean Mommy. :)

Landy was very excited to wake up to his Toy Story basket. Funny thing... the night before I told him to go to sleep so the Easter Bunny would visit him. He said, " Yes, Mommy (shaking his head up and down) he will leave my Toy Story basket. " As if he already knew??

After all the Ooooh's and Aaaah's from finding his basket, he took everything out and lined it in a circle. He then, slowly named each item ,and was finally ready to open the toys and play. I didn't realize this would be such a long process or I would have started sooner. We were almost late to Church.
What a perfect Easter! :)

Easter Photos

Here are some of my favorite poses from Landyn's Easter photo shoot. He was such a Ham! Cynthia, our photographer, met us at the Grapevine Train Depot. She brought like 6 baby chicks to take his picture with. They made Landyn a lil squirmish, so we didn't get many photos of him with them. I was still very happy with the pictures. It's such a big difference from last year! Last year, he was having NO part of getting his picture taken.

I brought the carrots as a prop but he kept eating them! I think he's going through a growth spurt bc he's been eating so much lately. Hey, I am not complaining about that!

I modified a few of the shots. I took the "texture" out of this one.

And this one.

Arboretum

We went to the Arboretum Monday in hopes to get Landyn's picture taken with the live bunny. Yeah... That didn't happen. The lines were ridiculous! The lines were pretty much crazy for everything. We did however, get a chance to do a craft, and visit the petting zoo. I just thought it was SO cute how Landyn and his friend Natalie were holding hands throughout the entire park. We didn't even ask them to. Precious :)

Disney on Ice

For Easter, Gran Gran and Pa Pa took us all to see Disney on Ice. We had great seats! First row after rink seats. Landyn had a total blast! Mickey went through several wardrobe changes and they had characters from tons of different Disney movies. Landyn especially LOVED Toy Story! When they came out he started dancing, clapping, and acting silly. He also really enjoyed Mickey Mouse. That is one of his fave shows. After the show, we all went to eat at Pappadeaux's. Landyn was such a trooper. We didn't get home until close to 10pm -when his bedtime is usually 8pm.

This scene was from Princess and the Frog.

Gran Gran and PaPa... Thanks for such a great time! :)

Notice Landyn's pose in the last two pics. Funny!

His Mickey Mouse "spinner" as he calls it.

I guess you can tell we dressed him as Mickey Mouse. :)

Thomas the Train

Sunday, we took Landyn to see Thomas the Train at Grapevine. It was such a nice day and they had a ton of activities set up outside. We did not ride the train but managed to stay out there 3 hours playing. They had a petting zoo, bounce house, crafts, train tables and vendors selling food.
It was a good time!

In his engineer attire.

After he played in the bounce house he worked up an appetite. He asked for a corn dog (which he's never had) and nearly ate the whole thing! The corn dog was almost as big as him!

Cheezin' for the camera...

Rodeo Day

Last week was Rodeo Day at Landyn's school. They had pony rides, a petting zoo, trackless train and a bunch of indoor western themed activities inside the gym. Landyn was very excited to wear his cowboy costume to school. In fact, that night he still didn't want to take it off! I arrived a little late that morning and missed the pony ride, darn! But here are some photos of the other activities I did catch.

He was very hesitant to pet the animals. He said "Ewww.. That pig is Yucky," and " I'm ready to go inside and eat pizza!". There was a black baby pig in there, just didn't snap a pic of it.

Sheriff Landyn!

In front of the train with his buddy Gabe. For some odd reason he kept calling the driver, Sponge Bob Square Pants?

OK, this was hilarious! After he finally warmed up to the animals and started petting them... a baby goat went after him! He got this terrified look on his face and hid behind the smallest kid in his class! He's an entire head taller than him!! I was able to snap a pic just in time. Come on, son! you are braver than that!

After the goat incident. He said, "Awww man! I'm ready to eat pizza."

Landyn insisted on holding hands with his classmates and posing for a picture.

Duck Pond Park

We have really been enjoying this nice weather and visiting the parks. Last week we went to Duck Pond Park to play and feed the ducks. He was especially excited to feed the ducks AND himself! He would throw some bread to the ducks and then stuff a big chunk of bread in his mouth. I kept telling him that bread was for the ducks but he insisted. Good thing I had just bought a fresh loaf to take out there. Needless to say he didn't eat much dinner that night.

Overview of the pond.

The turtles and catfish kept poking their heads out and fighting for the bread. We even saw a little boy fishing. Landyn seemed really excited when he saw the fish out of the water (I was surprised he wasn't scared) so I am planning to get him a fishing pole.

Him shoving the bread in his mouth... He acts like he doesn't get fed :)

Big Boy Hair Cut

Gasp... For those of you that know me well I am attached to not only my hair, but Lando's as well. So, cutting it short was a big step for me (as crazy as that sounds). I am usually hovering over the hair stylist telling her "Don't cut too much". She actually wanted to go shorter but I'm thinking baby steps. My Baby looks like a Big Boy now :(

This photo was taken the day after. I gave him a lil fohawk.

This photo was taken right after his hair cut, she styled it.

Toy Story

"My Toy Story", as Landyn would say. This is his thing right now!! This was really the first movie we introduced him to and he just fell in love. He could watch this everyday all day long if we allowed him to. Since it's his fave, we of course had to buy the costumes! Here's him as Woody and Buzz. We can't wait to take him to see Toy Story 3 at the movie theatres this summer. I'm going to dress him up.. hehe

Valentines Day

Valentines Day... A valid excuse to buy My Baby more presents! :) This year he got Buzz Lightyear wings, cup and candy. All which he was very excited for. He flies around the house all the time saying "Buzz Lightyear to the rescue, vroom!".

In one of his Valentine shirts.

This picture was taken in the morning... Hence his Buzz P.J's

Yay, Gifts!!

Snow Day

What a fun day in the snow! Landyn missed school and we played in the snow 3 times throughout the day. Once he went outside- side (that's how Landyn says it) he didn't want to come back inside! He loved throwing snowballs at me and eating the snow! When Daddy came home from work they enjoyed making a snowman, Landyn named him Foot. :) What a treat for Texas.
